Idul Fitri Holiday, Where to Go?

The Ranch, Farm House, Tebing Keraton (belum kesampean huhu), The Lodge Maribaya, Balai Kota Bandung, etc.

So this is it! Nggak sabar deh liburan Idul Fitri :) What's your plan for Eid Mubarak holiday?

10 Things to Do in Osaka

10 Things to Do in Osaka | www.bigdreamerblog.com
Hi, dreamers! So sorry it takes a while for a new post about my Japan trip, but wait no more because I'm writing 10 things to do in Osaka for you! FYI, I write this post based on my own experience. I might miss some (common) places but believe me you still can enjoy Osaka with these ;) Let's get started, shall we?
Osaka Amazing Pass JR Pass | www.bigdreamerblog.com
First of all, let me tell you if you need Osaka Amazing Pass or not. I bought one day pass but it turned out not really worth it because I arrived at Osaka at noon. It does have some benefits but if you don't plan ahead, it'll be in vain, hahaha.

1. Kura Sushi- 100 Yen Sushi Hunting

Kura Sushi Osaka | www.bigdreamerblog.com
I already planned to have 100 yen sushi (Kura Sushi) in Osaka. It's quite far from the station and I need to walk there, but that's the fun part. Despite of the cheap price, their sushi quality is no joke! It's super fresh and the beef sushi is amazing! I'm gonna tell you more on a separate post, okay ;)

2. Visit Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan
Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan | www.bigdreamerblog.com
It was a yay or nay option but I ended up went there because I wanted to see the whale shark. I actually always wanna go to the Aquarium in Okinawa but hadn't got the chance so I tried the one in Osaka first. Overall it's quite enjoyable experience, except it was already passed 3 PM when I got there so I was quite in rush to ride the ferris wheel. Again, will tell you the details on separate post!

3. Ride the Tempozan Ferris Wheel- Alone!
Tempozan Ferris Wheel Osaka | www.bigdreamerblog.com
Hahaha, I know I don't have to mention 'alone' but that's the point. I was riding one of the largest ferris wheel in the world alone and managed to shot some pics thanks to my tripod and my courage. It's located next to the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, you just need to walk a bit. FYI, it's free if you have Osaka Amazing Pass ;) It's REALLY HIGH and when I reached the top it's super shaky. Quite scary but I basically love high places so I was really really love it! Plus, it's a perfect golden hour, everyone ;) You can see Osaka from up high and I'd love to experience it once again.

4. Try Milky Soft Cream
It's located before the escalator to the Aquarium. The store itself is super cute, but the soft cream tasted so-so tho. It also sells Peko-chan merchandise beside various soft cream. If you happen to visit this store before dark, take a pic in front of the store will make a instagenic photo!

5. Stroll around Dotonbori at Night
Dotonbori Street Osaka | www.bigdreamerblog.com
There are so much to explore in Dotonbori and I regret I got there at night. There are a lot of cute and interesting stores along the street, not to forget the flashy billboards and neon lights. If you have plenty time in Osaka, make sure to start exploring Dotonbori before sunset!

6. Take Pics with the famous Glico Man
Dotonbori Osaka Glico Man | www.bigdreamerblog.com
When in Osaka, take mandatory tourist photo: pose like the famous Glico Man! I was confused where to find it, but simply ask the passing people and they'll definitely show you the exact location.

7. Eat Ramen while Standing and Takoyaki
Standing Ramen Osaka | www.bigdreamerblog.com
What's traveling without food tho? I found eating ramen while standing is unique so I decided to give it a try. We must buy the ticket from a machine and give it to the staff, then they will serve your chosen ramen. It's located near the station exit and easily noticed with that dragon above. I forgot the exact price but it's not expensive and definitely worth it.
What to Eat in Osaka - Takoyaki | www.bigdreamerblog.com
Another food not to forget when you're in Osaka is takoyaki! I didn't eat any okonomiyaki but I was glad at least I tried the original takoyaki. Obviously there are a few takoyaki store, I bought this one from the store named "Kukuru" with huge octopus above the stall.

8. MUST: Visit Osaka Castle
Osaka Castle | www.bigdreamerblog.com
One of the must things to do in Osaka is visiting Osaka Castle! It's large, magnificent....just amazing. I literally spent more than 6 hours there, including enter the castle and learn about the history of Osaka Castle etc., then just strolling around its large area. Too much to tell in this short post, I'll definitely write you a complete post!
***
I missed out these place but if you have plenty time, make sure to visit:
9. Umeda Sky Building
img source
You can enter for free if you have Osaka Amazing Pass. It's perfect observatory to see the skyline of Osaka from above. Best time to visit is before sunset-night. So sad I couldn't make it :(

10. Shinsekai // Tsutenkaku Tower
img source
Shinsekai was another must-visit district that I missed out. I really wish I'd go back to Osaka and visit it. You can do shopping, food-hunting, or merely stroll around here. Note that Shinsekai is mentioned as one of the dangerous area in Osaka, so be careful!

It's my version of 10 Things to Do in Osaka, do you have another ideas in mind?
I'd be happy to know, please tell me in the comment box :))

Ruffle Sweatshirt, Stripes Skirt, Glittery Sneakers

ruffle sweatshirt, stripes skirt, glittery sneakers | www.bigdreamerblog.com
Gonna update you with a quick outfit post. I wore this outfit to my relative's wedding- which I barely know. Wondering why I didn't wear something neat like dress? Hahaha. I basically don't like going to party because I don't have any suitable dresscode. That Sunday I decided to just go with casual outfit, because there's no rules not to wear casual outfit, right?

I wore my ruffle sweatshirt that I bought at GU Japan with stripes skirt my mom bought me. I love this skirt so much because of the horizontal and vertical stripes. It's from Korea but sold at Mangga Dua. Mangga Dua provides a lot of nice clothes if you're skilled enough to find. To get a little bit of glam look, I decided to wear my brand new glittery sneakers from my colleagues (it's Stradivarius).

What do you think? Should I wear something more proper next time?

5 Reasons to Love Crop Tops

As you may already know, I love street style so much, especially Asian street style. Japanese street style has always been my style reference since I was young and I'm also into Korean street style now. There are a lot of Asian style key items that I embrace including sweater, outerwear, cute graphic t-shirt, crop tops, skirt, etc. Out of those items, one basic items that I love and need the most is crop tops. I have 5 reason to love crop tops, and maybe you should too ;)

1. Easy to Style/Wear
Crop tops is a versatile fashion item to wear with anything. Just like t-shirt you can wear crop top with almost everything. For casual outfit, you simply wear crop top with skinny jeans or comfortable shorts. To look cuter, you can wear it with skirt. It's up to you. For me I love you wear crop top or crop sweater over mini dress to add some dimension and fun look. Or you can wear it beneath dungaree or pinafore for playful look.

2. Perfect for Summer/ Hot Weather Country
Do I need to say again that it's perfect for summer and hot weather? I live in Indonesia which doesn't have summer season but the weather is always hot and humid. Comfortable and light top is the best to wear here. When I'm traveling, crop tops is the best because it looks stylish without make me all sweaty. Psst, and sometimes the breeze can get in too lol. Off-shoulder or crochet crop top for summer? Perfect!

3. Nice companion for outerwear
I'm a sucker for outerwear, especially those unique and fun jackets which give instant change to my basic and simple look. Sometimes wearing tucked-in or basic t-shirt can make our outfit looks boring, but crop tops can give different vibe. If you're confident enough, show your stomach beneath your outerwear as it can make you look more grunge, chic, and sexy without showing too much skin. Or just wear high waisted shorts/skirts if you don't want to show any of your stomach (which I usually do, hahaha).

4. Suitable for Everyone
Yes, crop tops is for everyone with any style, especially those who love 90s style. To create a 90s style, you can wear crop tops with mom jeans, choker, and platform shoes. If you're into sexy look, try fit body, crochet, or see-through crop tops to emphasize your body shape and show some skin around stomach. You can also look sporty by wearing it with shorts and sneakers. Want to try cute look like those Korean girl bands? Try wearing them with tennis skirt and sneakers.

5. Various Style and Easy to find
Off Shoulder Plaid Knot Hem Crop Top Orange // Pineapple Embroidered Cropped Top White // Ladder Cutout Crop Top Pink
You can easily find crop tops at any fashion stores from sleeveless, tee, sweater, crochet, etc. The price also vary and most of them are affordable. Not only offline stores, obviously you can find them even easier online now. I browsed some crop tops at Zaful website and found out that they have a lot of crop tops collection with various style, patterns, and cutting. I decided to list some of my favorite below, which are perfect for both wearing as it is or with outerwear- or as an outerwear ;))

Bucket List: My Top 5 Travel Destination in Indonesia

Enough of blabbering, now check out my top 5 travel destination in Indonesia!
1. Flores
I love mountains, I love beaches, and Flores has both. That's it!

Hahaha.

3. Ubud
Believe it or not, aku belom pernah ke Ubud sama sekali.

That's why I want to go there once again and share its beauty to my blog readers!

5. Dieng Plateau
So, stay tuned!

Itulah 5 destinasi travel favoritku sendiri, how about you? Tell me in the comment box below :)) I wish I can go to those places soon!

Event Report: Avene Sweet Afternoon Talk + Review

Hi, dreamers! It's time for another event report. I was invited to Avene and ClozetteID Sweet Afternoon Talk 2 weeks ago. It's mostly discuss about sensitive skin, how to care it, and about Avene as the perfect choice for sensitive skin. There's also makeup demo using Avene product which I'll show the pic below. Let's get started!
Before the event began, we took some OOTD photos for the competition and another photos needed for blog post. I also met some blogger friends and they helped me to take my OOTD pics. The dresscode were white and orange with floral touch. Obviously, I don't have any clothes with those category, as you know my style is super street style and boyish. I didn't have extra budget to shop new clothes so in the end I borrowed my mom's orange blouse. Turned out I got a lot of compliments hahaha. Wore shorts, sneakers, and tied-up choker to give younger vibe. Yaaah, I didn't win the competition but it's okay :))
***
The event started with makeup demo from Dhirman Putra. He showed us how to use Avene products to create a better makeup look, especially for us who have sensitive skin. I love how the makeup looked flawless and glowing on the model, Setiany Indah.
Then, it continued with a talk show with Doctor Samuel L Simon, he explained about what sensitive skin is, how to care them, do and don'ts, etc. Bloggers were also allowed to ask questions about beauty and sensitive skin stuff.
Last but not least, there was special performance by Radhini with her clear voice. Oh! We also enjoyed some snacks, and it's so delicious!...with nice visual. My favorite was the mini burger ;))
In the end of the event, we went to Avene counter to take our goodie bag home. We're also given 150.000 worth voucher to use but I was on shopping ban so I didn't buy anything.
***
We are about to start the review, but first let me tell you about Avene first. Avene is an Europe- French to be exact- brand, specialized in creating products for sensitive skin. Its well-known product is Avene Thermal Spring Water that can be used not only for face but also can be used after workout, traveling, after surgical procedure, facial, sunburn, damaged skin, itching, etc. I'm planning to get one in the future, but first let's start the review of these 2 products!

REVIEW:
Avene Tolerance Extreme Cleansing Lotion
Avene Tolerance Extreme Lotion is a cleanser that can be used without rinse, created for sensitive skin. We can use it to clean our face before applying any makeup or to remove our makeup.
The tube packaging is hygienic with sterilising cap, so don't need to worry about the purity of the product. Rub it gently over the face in circular motion, then wipe it clean with cotton pad.
The texture is milky and a little bit runny, without any weird smell. When it's applied, it feels soft and doesn't sticky at all, which is nice. I think it's not really effective for removing makeup especially the waterproof ones. You need to clean your face more than once if you're wearing heavy makeup. I think this lotion is perfect for sensitive skin because it doesn't irritate the skin or cause the breakout.

Avene Tolerance Extreme Cream
My skin was so dry lately and this cream is helping so much! It's really effective for moisturising the skin without feeling sticky or heavy. The Avene Tolerance Extreme Cream's texture is creamier than the cleansing lotion, and doesn't have any weird smell too. If you have oily skin, this product will make it even oilier. So maybe you can reduce it on the T-zone and apply more on the drier area like cheeks or around the lips (in my case).
It can be used after cleaning your face with cleansing lotion or before applying the makeup to keep your skin moisturized and avoid patchy look. This cream can also make your skin feels soft and bouncy.
I also got some samples of their products such as Avene Micellar Lotion, Eye Contour Care, Mineral Cream, Hydrating Serum and Cream. Gonna try them soon ;)
Thanks for reading!
Hope this short review can help you deciding ;)
