Year in Review: ありがとう 2020

Wow 2020 is seriously ending in a few days! 2020 is definitely not the best year (obviously because of Corona) and I actually don't really know what to write since I didn't do much this year. We started quarantine at March and those few months felt terrible, like you couldn't go anywhere and you couldn't meet anyone. Even an introvert like me was suffering, lol. The first 3 months actually went so fast, it's like "what happened?" Anyway, we have made it so far, so stay healthy always Dreamers ;)

I bought Canon G7x mark II 

I decided to buy another camera for videos, because my Fujifilm XA-2 is not good for taking videos. The focus was so annoying. This Canon G7X Mark II is actually such an investment, the quality is nice and it's easy to bring anywhere. I made some videos with it (you can check it on my Youtube channel), then I stopped making/ uploading any videos when the quarantine started. Man, those few first months is terrible! After that I thought that if I don't make any contents, the camera (and my money) will just be a waste. I bought it with "investment" in my mind so... YOU BETTER MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF IT, Mei!

I bought Nintendo Switch

I really wanted to buy this since Animal Crossing New Horizons was out, but managed to forget it until a few months ago T.T Such an impulsive splurge and now I'm already kinda bored of the game hahaha. But still, talking to my villagers is so fun. They're all so cute huhu~

More Youtube Videos (?)

These few last months, I pushed myself to create, edit, and upload more videos to my Youtube channel. I'm still in the middle of "researching" tho, what kind of contents that people love more. BUT! In the end I will just do whatever I like hahaha~ Sometimes I feel sorry that I'm not updating my blog that much compared to before.

Went to Bandung with My Boyfriend and Bestie

Finally one of the most exciting thing that happened this year. I went to Bandung with my boyfriend and bestie. We didn't really go to anywhere tho, it's most like staycation. We still avoided crowded places. Oh, we went to Jalan Braga and it's so crowded, we decided to go to another place. I was dizzy seeing a lot people hahaha *introvert problem*. I planned to edit the vlog (and also blog?) as soon as possible so please stay tuned, or subscribe to my channel, hehe~

To be honest, I kinda lost this year. I really lost all the motivation during the quarantine, I didn't know what to do. It felt like all my goals were impossible too. Thankfully, later this year I could pick myself up, found what I want to do (I have some new goals), and I'm getting excited to be more productive in 2021. Hopefully the world can be better too! And I hope I can get more projects/ jobs again, and people will pay me a.s.a.p (some people haven't paid me for the video I finished yet huhu). How is your 2020? Hola! Do you miss my outfit post? Hahaha. This is kinda old outfit tbh, I took it a few months ago. I know I don't really update my blog anymore huhu. I'm trying to grow my Youtube channel too, it's kinda hard because the subscribers and viewers are still low. Well, let's just work harder (and smarter!)

I bought this shirt sleeves yellow blazer from Shopee. I also bought a long sleeves one but hadn't really have a chance to wear it out (blame Corona huh). I actually think it'll be better to wear it with tank top, but instead I wore it with my Nube t-shirt. For the bottom I wore culottes, because I'm getting fatter and another bottoms are too small already :(

I was in the mood for some "girly" vibe so I wore my yellow slingback heels. This shoes was on my wish list until it's finally on sale, but turned out it kinda hurts, such a waste. That's why I only wear it when I don't have to walk too much.

Just a random wishlist

Hola! I wanted to write this post a few weeks ago but just managed to write it today. Well, this is just a random post, I just want to share what I've been eyeing these days-- just like old days hahaha. Actually I've bought one of my wishlist so yeah it's okay. Still want to write tho :p

First of all, the reason I write this is to just pour my mind because I think about them a lot. It's also can be a reminder and motivation for me to work harder to get them. So let's just get started!

iPad Pro 2020 (and Apple Pencil)

...hahaha ((laugh first)). I actually have an iPad mini, I got it when I won an competition but I don't really can use it to do anything. It only has 16GB storage T.T So, the reason I want an iPad Pro is to draw! I planned to pursuit my dream to be an illustrator again. Idk I'm just bored with my life lately. I've actually wanted an iPad since Procreate came out, but it's not my priority. I still can use Photoshop to draw, and I even have Wacom Cintiq. I know I have to be grateful but what's wrong with dreaming right? I don't either to buy 11" or 12.9" tho....

The price is so expensive for me, that's why I decided I will just buy it later when I can be more and more productive on creating illustration and contents. Or when I can finally grow my Youtube channel until at least 1.000 subscribers haha. Please help me!!! :p SUBS HERE~

 

Nintendo Switch Lite (Turquoise)

 

Actually I've bought it. HAHAHA. I wanted to buy it since Animal Crossing: New Horizons release but I managed to hold it. Then, suddenly I came across My Hero Academia game and the urge to buy the console reached its peak again! So I just bought it and planned to make contents out of it. At least I can be more productive and feel less guilty :")

I wanted to buy the normal one but my friend said that it's enough to buy lite version. It's cheaper and has more colors too. I'm sold. I wanted to buy coral pink first, but in the end I prefer Turquoise one. It's so pretty~ I even made pro and cons buying Nintendo Switch then buy it anyway the next day. Huh.

Review: SNP Prep Cicaronic SOS Ampoule and Daily Mask

Hola! Aku kembali lagi dengan review skincare baru. Kali ini aku abis cobain skincare dari Shining Nature Purity atau mungkin lebih dikenal dengan nama SNP. SNP ini adalah brand skincare dari Korea Selatan, mereka punya rangkaian skincare yaitu SNP Prep yang diperkaya dengan berlapis-lapis Hyaluronic Acid yang digabungkan dengan beberapa bahan aktif seperti Peptides, Cica, dan Vitamins. 

Hola! It's me again with another skincare review. This time I tried Shining Nature Purity skincare, or may be known as SNP. It's skincare brand from South Korea, they have this series of skincare called Prep, which is enriched with multiple layers of Hyaluronic Acid with key active ingredients such as Peptides, Cica, and Vitamins.

Sebelumnya, mereka meluncurkan series SNP Prep Peptaronic yang ternyata sangat populer sehingga akhirnya mereka kembali meluncurkan series Prep terbaru mereka, yaitu SNP Prep Cicaronic, yang diformulasikan untuk merawat kulit sensitif dan acne prone. 

Previous SNP Prep series is SNP Prep Peptaronic, which is so popular among skincare enthusiasts, and now finally SNP launch their latest SNP Prep Cicaronic that is formulated to treat sensitive and acne prone skin.

SNP Prep Cicaronic Daily Mask (IDR 20.000 each)

Sheet mask dari SNP selalu jadi salah satu favoritku dan varian Cicaronic Daily Mask ini juga bukan pengecualian. Masker ini mengandung 3 lapis Hyaluronic Acid yang memberikan kelembaban lebih dalam pada lapisan kulit dan ekstrak Centella Asiatica yang dapat mencegah kerusakan kulit serta merawat kulit iritasi. Kedua kandungan ini dirancang khusus untuk menenangkan kulit sensitif sekaligus melembabkan kulit. Terasa lembut dan ringan saat dipakai di wajah, memberikan hasil kulit terlihat lebih muda, sehat, dan terhidrasi dengan baik.

SNP's sheet mask has always been one of my favorite, and this Cicaronic Daily Mask is no exception. It contains 3 layers of Hyaluronic Acid which provides deeper moisture to skin layers and Centella Asiatica extract to prevent skin damage and treat the irritated skin. Both ingredients formulated to help soothing sensitive skin and keep it hydrated. It feels soft and lightweight on the skin, give your skin young, healthy, and hydrated look.

How to Use:

- Gunakan setelah membersihkan wajah dan toner, pakaikan dengan rapi ke wajah mengikuti letak lubang mata, hidung, dan mulut. Tunggu selama 10-20 menit kemudian tepuk-tepuk sisa essence agar menyerap. Tidak perlu dibilas lagi.

- Use it after cleanse your face and apply toner, apply sheet mask aligning with the eyes, nose, and lips. Remove after 10-20 minutes and gently pat the remaining essence to absorb. No need to rinse after.

Review:

Bahan sheet mask nya sangat lembut, nggak terlalu tipis ataupun tebal, sangat pas di muka aku. Yang paling penting dia sangat mudah dirapikan dan menempel dengan baik di wajah. Essence-nya cukup berlimpah, sisa di bungkusnya masih banyak sehingga bisa dipakai untuk leher, tangan, dan kaki. Menurutku ini sheet masknya agak licin ya, jadi lebih dipakai sambil tiduran.

The sheet mask is soft, not too thin nor thick, it fit my face perfectly. The most important for me, it’s very easy to use and sit well on my face. It has generous essence, I can use the remaining essence for neck, dry areas on my arms and legs. I think this sheet mask is quite “slippery” so it’s more comfortable to use it while laying down. 

Saat dipakai rasanya adem tanpa ada rasa tingling/ perih. Kadang ada masker yang kalau dipakai bereaksi di kulit aku kaya panas gitu, tapi yang ini aman sih. Setelah dipakai 15-20 menit, kulit terasa lembab, halus, merah-merah di wajahku lebih berkurang. Sekarang aku suka pakai sheet mask ini untuk menenangkan kulit aku kalau lagi muncul merah-merahnya. Yang aku suka juga, setelah masker dilepas dan sisa essence ditepuk-tepuk, dia cepat menyerap tanpa meninggalkan rasa lengket. Jadi aman banget untuk dipakai sebelum tidur atau di pagi hari sebelum beraktivitas. SNP Prep Cicaronic Sheet Mask ini juga aman dipakai 7 hari berturut-turut lho~

When I use this, it feels cool without tingling sensation. Sometimes when I use sheet mask, some of them give this burn feeling, but not with this one. After 15-20 minutes, my skin feels more soft, hydrated, and less redness. Another point I love is the essence absorbs quickly without sticky feeling. It’s safe to use this before sleep/ in the morning before your activity. This SNP Prep Cicaronic Sheet Mask also can be used everyday for 7 days~

- Setelah membersihkan wajah, aplikasikan ampoule secukupnya dan tepuk-tepuk perlahan agar produk menyerap. Satu botol kecil ampoule ini cukup untuk 2x pemakaian.

Review:

SNP Prep Cicaronic SOS Ampoule ini dikemas dalam botol hijau transparan berukuran kecil, atau disebut vial dengan isi 1,5 ml. Teksturnya agak kental, tanpa warna atau transparan, dan tercium seperti aroma herbal gitu. Saat digunakan terasa agak licin. Dari packagingnya sebenarnya cukup praktis untuk dibawa-bawa, tapi dari segi higienis mungkin kurang ya karena 1 botol kecil itu bukan untuk sekali pakai aja (buat aku).

SNP Prep Cicaronic SOS Ampoule is packaged inside green transparent vials, each contains of 1,5ml. It has slightly thick transparent texture and smells like herbs. It feels kinda slippery when I applied it on my face. Packaging wise it's pretty handy to bring anywhere, but it may be lacking hygiene wise because (for me) 1 vile can be used twice.

Aku pakai SOS Ampoule ini 2x sehari, setelah cuci muka pagi dan malam hari sebelum tidur. Saat pemakaian pertama kali, aku bisa langsung merasakan kalau ampoule ini sangat melembabkan. Sesuai dengan formulanya yang dikhususkan untuk kulit sensitif, aku tidak mengalami reaksi negatif seperti iritasi atau breakout. Kulit aku termasuk tipe yang kering, nah ampoule ini ternyata mampu melembabkan kulitku. Setelah pemakaian kulit terasa lebih lembut, hydrated, dan plump. Menurutku ini karena memang kandung Hyaluronic Acidnya yang tinggi. Setelah beberapa jam pemakaian, aku merasa bagian T-zone terutama hidung dan dahi agak berminyak. Merah-merah di wajahku juga lebih berkurang setelah memakai ampoule ini. 

I use this SOS Ampoule twice a day, after washing my face in the morning and at night before going to bed. When I used it for the first time, I could immediately feel that this ampoule is so hydrating. It's formulated specifically for sensitive skin, thus I did not experience negative reactions such as irritation or breakouts. My skin type is dry, so this ampoule can hydrate my skin very well. After use, the skin feels softer, hydrated, and plump. I think this is because the Hyaluronic Acid content is high. After several hours, I feel the T-zone area, especially the nose and forehead, is a bit oily. The redness on my face is not really visible after using this ampoule.

Saat lagi mencoba produk ini, aku sempat ada jerawat kecil yang tumbuh. Aku cukup terkejut karena jerawatnya jadi lebih cepat kering ketika aku lagi memakai Cicaronic SOS Ampoule ini. Bisa dibilang ini bener-bener dibikin untuk yang punya kulit sensitif dan acne prone!

I had a small acne when I was trying out this ampoule, and I was pretty amazed how fast my acne dried. It's still new and red the day before :o I can say this is truly made for those who have sensitive and acne prone skin!

Sebelum aku memulai skincare SNP Prep Cicaronic ini, kulit aku benar-benar kering dan dehidrasi banget, seperti yang bisa dilihat di foto before. Kulit aku rasanya ketat ketarik dan kulitnya mengelupas gitu, yang kalau dipegang terasa kasar. Setelah pemakaian selama 14 hari, aku merasa kulit aku lebih lembab, plump, dan merah-merahnya mendingan (walaupun masih suka muncul kalau kepanasan).Kulit aku sekarang udah nggak terasa ketarik, nggak mengelupas lagi, dan kalau dipegang itu rasanya lebih plumpy. Selama pemakaian aku nggak ada iritasi atau breakout sama sekali, malah kalau lagi muncul jerawat bakal lebih cepat kering gitu, nggak ada yang sampai merah berhari-hari.

Before I started using SNP Prep Cicaronic, my skin condition was really bad, it's super dry and dehydrated, as seen on the "before" photo. My skin feels tight and flaky, it's really rough when I touched it. After 14 days, now my skin is better, it feels more moisturized, hydrated, plump, and the redness is less visible (but it still appears when I feel hot T.T). My skin doesn't feel tight nor flaky anymore, it feels plumpy when I touch it now. During 14 days, I didn't experience any bad reaction like irritation or breakout, instead when acnes appeared, they healed faster.

#japobsOOTD: Oversized T-shirt + Skirt/ Dress

Hola! In this post I'm gonna show you one of my favorite style to wear these days. I always love oversized t-shirt, and I also actually love this laid-back style but sometimes wear something like can be looked as not-neat-enough. Now, I don't really care because it's my personal taste anyway + I don't really have anywhere to go since corona virus is still out there (grrr).

I wore this on New Year, at that time I never imagined year 2020 would be like this T.T Apparently I was so lazy to go out because the Malls would be so crowded but I wanted to eat something good so I dragged myself out with this Mickey Mouse oversized tee from Uniqlo, Tulle skirt that I bought at GU in Japan, Miklfed sling bag from Mini magazine, and platform sandals from MKS Shoes (Indonesian local brand). This sandals is their gift for me, they always spoil me with their shoes omg!

with Floral Dress Beneath

I usually wear dress over the t-shirt, but this time I wanted to try something new. Well, actually I didn't want anything to pressure my waist (I gained some weight lol) so I just decided to wear it that way, COMFY COMES FIRST hahaha. This Stussy oversized t-shirt is also my favorite, it's thrifted! Still the same sling bag as before but I wore my favorite Nike M2K Tekno sneakers. It's my most expensive sneakers and it took quite long time for me to decide whether to buy or not.

Yesss, oversized t-shirt definitely can look cute with some short skirt, or in my case: skort. This is actually not skirt but it does look like one ;p I wore this Elvis t-shirt that's actually my dad's + handmade sling bag that my mom knitted for me. This one is another laid-back outfit~ I think mask is already part of our outfits now, huh?

Nah, sekarang di wajahku sisa bekas-bekas jerawatnya aja. Aku lagi nyobain beberapa produk dari Dr. Hsieh yang seri Whitening: Dr. Hsieh Mandelic Flower Acid Whitening Milk, Dr. Hsieh 10% Mandelic Flower Acid Whitening Liquid, dan Mandelic Flower Acid Whitening High Concentration Mask. 

Dr. Hsieh ini adalah produk skincare dari Taiwan yang menggunakan bahan alami tanpa pengawet, tanpa pewangi dan pewarna, bebas alkohol, serta telah mendapat sertifikasi Halal dari Taiwan Halal Integrity Development Association jadi pastinya aman untuk dipakai sama teman-teman yang muslim. Produk semuanya disegel dan ada sticker logo Halal di plastiknya.

 

Dr. Hsieh 10% Mandelic Flower Acid Whitening Liquid

Dr. Hsieh 10% Mandelic Flower Acid Whitening Liquid adalah serum ekstrak bunga almond bebas pewarna, bebas alkohol, bebas pewangi dan tanpa unsur hewani ini, mampu memutihkan sekaligus mencerahkan kulit wajah. Kandungan alami dari Mandelic Acid dan Ekstrak Bunga, membantu regenerasi kulit dengan lembut dan efektif merawat dari dalam kulit. Selain menjadi lebih putih dan cerah, warna kulit dapat menjadi lebih merata dan memudarkan flek hitam maupun bekas-bekas jerawat.

Informasi mengenai ingredients dan cara tertera di bagian sisi-sisi box produk dan infromasi tentang expired date ada di bagian bawah kotak. Informasi tertera dalam bahasa Mandarin dan Inggris. Menurutku informasi yang disediakan sudah sangat cukup untuk mengerti tentang produknya.

Dikemas dalam botol kaca berwarna gelap yang dilengkapi dengan pipet. Seperti nama produknya, teksturnya sangat cair (sehingga mudah diaplikasikan), berwarna agak kuning, dan tanpa pewangi. Ada sedikit bau kecut karena dia adalah acid, tapi bukan bau menyengat yang mengganggu. 

Review: 

I looove this product! Setelah dipakai wajah langsung glowing dan lembab. Memang, agak sedikit lengket setelah digunakan tapi setelah menyerap dan ditimpa dengan lotion jadi nggak lengket lagi. Menurutku liquid ini lumayan ampuh dalam mencerahkan wajah dan memudarkan bekas jerawat. Selain itu, karena dia mengandung butylene glycol, serum ini juga melembabkan wajah. Tadinya kulit wajahku yang suka patchy jadi nggak lagi sejak pakai ini. Untungnya pakai produk ini sangat cocok dan nggak bikin breakout di kulitku!

Dr. Hsieh Mandelic Flower Acid Whitening Milk adalah lotion pencerah kulit yang diformulasikan untuk mengontrol melanin dan melindungi kulit dengan Glucoside. Tekstur yang lembut, membuat lotion ini mudah diserap kulit dan dengan seketika meningkatkan kondisi kulit menjadi lebih kencang. Selain memperbaiki masalah garis halus/penuaan, juga mampu meratakan warna kulit, serta mengatasi masalah flek hitam dan bekas jerawat yang menghitam.

Informasi mengenai ingredients dan cara pakai juga tertera di bagian sisi-sisi box produk dan informasi tentang expired date ada di bagian bawah kotak. Informasi tertera dalam bahasa Mandarin dan Inggris. Menurutku informasi yang disediakan sudah sangat cukup untuk mengerti tentang produknya.

Dikemas dalam packaging plastik dengan pump yang sangat memudahkan aku untuk mengontrol jumlah produk yang keluar. Biasanya aku menggunakan 1 pump untuk 1 titik di wajahku (pipi kiri, pipi kanan, jidat, hidung, dan dagu). Oh iya, aku juga menggunakan lotion ini hingga ke leher. 

Berwarna putih susu, teksturnya seperti krim yang tidak terlalu kental dan rasanya ringan ketika dioleskan ke wajah. Lotion ini tidak berbau dan tidak lengket, lumayan cepat menyerap di wajah.

Aku menggunakan Dr. Hsieh Mandelic Flower Acid Whitening Milk ini setelah 10% Mandelic Flower Acid Whitening Liquid dan hasilnya benar-benar bikin kulit lebih lembab. Teksturnya yang ringan bikin produk ini cocok digunakan bahkan untuk yang kulit berminyak sekalipun. Di kulit aku yang kering, lotion ini bisa mengurangi kulit-kulit mengelupas di wajahku gara-gara sering di ruangan ber-AC.

Produk ketiga yang aku coba adalah Dr. Hsieh Mandelic Flower Whitening High Concetration Mask, sebuah solusi perawatan wajah 15 menit dari masker yang kaya akan berbagai macam ekstrak tanaman, melembutkan, menjaga kelembapan dan menyegarkan kulit wajah. Sangat baik untuk kulit kusam. Tranexamic Acid yang terkandung di dalamnya telah terbukti dapat mengatasi masalah melanin di wajah.

Kandungan dan cara pakai Dr. Hsieh Mandelic Flower Whitening High Concetration Mask ini tertera di bagian belakang kemasan. Seperti dua produk lainnya, informasi juga tersedia dalam bahasa Mandarin dan Inggris. Dilengkapi dengan ilustrasi yang memudahkan orang yang baru pertama kali pakai masker untuk mengerti cara pakainya walaupun nggak ngerti bahasa Mandarin.

 

Cara pakai: Usai membersihkan wajah, tempelkan masker dan ratakan di seluruh wajah, tunggu 15-20 menit. Tidak perlu mencuci wajah lagi usai menggunakan masker. Cukup dipakai 2-3 kali seminggu.

Sheet mask dari Dr. Hsieh ini dilengkapi dengan plastik berwarna putih untuk memudahkan pemakaian masker ke wajah. bahan maskernya tidak terlalu tebal ataupun terlalu tipis, pas dan sangat dinyaman digunakan. Ukuran maskernya juga cocok dengan wajah aku dan mudah dirapikan saat dipakai.

Review:Sheet mask ini essencenya lumayan banyak dan terasa "basah" saat digunakan, tapi yang aku suka dia sit perfectly di wajah dan nggak kegeser-geser walaupun digunakan sambil beraktivitas. Setelah dilepas jangan lupa tepuk-tepuk sisa essence yang ada hingga meresap. Hasilnya wajah jadi terlihat lebih lembab dan lebih cerah. Di aku ini tidak terasa lengket sih. I think this one is good to use before makeup or before sleep!

Overall Review:

Rangkaian Whitening dari Dr. Hsieh ini bagus dan hasilnya sudah mulai terlihat walaupun baru dipakai selama seminggu. Selama pemakaian rangkaian produk ini aku ternyata sangat cocok, tidak ada reaksi negatif/ alergi ataupun breakout. Kulitku yang tadinya kusam, kemerahan, dan patchy karena kering/ dehidrasi sekarang jadi terasa lebih plump dan glowing. Untuk bekas jerawat masih ada, tapi ada beberapa yang sudah mulai tersamarkan. Aku paling suka setelah bangun tidur, karena wajahku terlihat bersih :”) Produk favoritku adalah serumnya, karena pas dipakai kulitku langsung terlihat glowing dan sehat!
