Last Sunday I went to AFAID 2016 with my friends. AFA, or Anime Festival Asia is an annual event for anime lovers that held at JIExpo Jakarta every year since 2012 in Indonesia. It's said that this event is the biggest anime festival (outside Japan) at Southeast Asia. You can find a lot of anime merchandise, fan-art, cosplay, Japanese food, and the famous Maid Cafe here. They have a stage named Akiba Stage, where the performers or talk shows are held. One of the main attraction that day is a performance by Hitomi. She is a senior maid from @home maid cafe, which is very popular not only in Tokyo, Akihabara but also around the world.
You can also find a lot of photo booths like these: buildings in the city, japanese classroom, horror character, Rilakkuma, and so many more. It was so crowded that I didn't take too many photos. Canon would print your photo for free anyway ;)
It's not an anime event if you can't find any cosplays. Wherever I saw, there are always cosplays; which I didn't really recognize because I don't have so much free time to watch anime anymore. I know these two are cosplaying Kaneki, tho ;p
Another thing you can't miss in this event is the merchandise and fan-art booths! Satisfy your fangirl desire and buy all the stuff, hahaha. They're selling stickers, keychains, self-draw posters, artbook, pillow, etc. which was so hard to resist, but I did it.
These girls danced to attract people visiting their booth. I love their outfit!
There was a booth selling lucky bag, you don't know what you'll get until you give the money and open it by yourself. The paper bag designs are so cute, tho. I bet boys will love it, hahaha.
I found these merchandise originally from Japan but price are so expensive. I've been eyeing that Daruma doll and ocha cup....
It's so crowded! People are sitting on the floor around the corners to rest.
